Jamie Oliver served up a tasty Korean-style roast chicken with kimchi marinade, slaw and coconut steam buns on Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast.
The ingredients for the chicken and kimchi sauce: 1 handful of sesame seeds , (200g), 250 g kimchi, 2 tablespoons gochujang paste, 2 tablespoons low-salt soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1.4 kg whole free-range chicken and 2 tablespoons runny honey.
For the buns: sesame oil, 1 x 400 g tin of light coconut milk and 2 coconut milk tins’ worth of self-raising flour , (500g), plus extra for dusting.
For the slaw: 2 carrots, 4 spring onions, 2 fresh red chillies, 1 bok choi, ½ a Chinese cabbage, 2 limes, 1 teaspoon sesame oil and ½ a teaspoon gochugaru , (Korean red pepper powder).
