For their Speciality Bake, 1066 Bakery showcased their Sussex Cheese & Ale Loaf that the judges said had a great flavour, Cloud 9 showcased their rainbow cake but the judges said it was style over substance, and Champs Bakery showcased their olive & tomato foccacia. The judges said it was a very good flavoured bread.
For their Wild Card Bake, 1066 Bakery baked a cherrylicious cake, Cloud 9 baked cherry meringue cupcakes, and Champs Bakery baked seventies inspired black forest gateau cupcakes.
After a tough day in the kitchen, it was 1066 Bakery that the judges declared the winner of today’s heat. They excited the judges with their bakes and proved that they have a wonderful appreciation of ingredients. This made the difference as they now move on to the regional finals.
