Jean-Christophe Novelli steak frites recipe on This Morning

Jean-Christophe Novelli served up a tasty ribeye steak frites with a white wine, mushroom and cream sauce on This Morning.

The ingredients for the sauce are: 400g mixed wild mushrooms (such as oyster, shitake, girolle) cleaned and chopped, 1 or 2 large banana shallots, finely sliced, Pinch of cumin seeds, Bayleaf, Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg, 100ml double cream, 80g Roquefort cheese, Chopped fresh parsley and Chopped fresh thyme.

For the chips: 2 large baking potatoes, cut into thick chips, skin left on, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 garlic cloves, skin on and slightly crushed, Pinch of caster sugar.

For the steak: 2 rib eye steaks.
