The competition is in full swing on day three of the current series of Britain’s Best Bakery with three more bakeries doing battle to get the chance to be crowned Britain’s Best Bakery.

Today it is the turn of Spondon Bakery, Lawton’s Pies Bakery and The Pudding Room from Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

Judges Mich Turner and Peter Sidwell must decide which of the bakeries meet their expectations sufficiently to go through to the next round.

The bakery that ticked all the boxes for the judges was The Pudding Room whose speciality bake is their lemon margarine pie.
