Billionaire is the first single by Travis “Travie” McCoy, from his forthcoming debut album titled “Lazarus”. The song features vocals from R&B singer Bruno Mars who is signed to the same record label as Travis.

Discussing the song’s meaning with MTV, he said: “It’s me talking about what would happen if I would somehow manage to become a billionaire. What would I do with the money?” he explained. “Don’t get it wrong, I’m far from a billionaire. I think I just made it out the ‘thousandaire’ category. So it’s about what I would do with the money and, the same time, it opens up the question, if you were in a position to do something with a decent chunk of money, what would you do?”

The music video was filmed in Los Angeles, California and shows Travie driving a Mini Cooper, and helping four people, as well as one large group. The first is giving a guy a new skateboard, the second was buying an unknown, aspiring artist’s CD, the third was a teenager trying to hitchhike to New York and when he got out of the car he gave his keys giving away the Mini Cooper, and the fourth giving a graffiti artist some spray paint. The second location was Venice Beach where the group in question ran dry on beer, and in come Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars, handing out beers to restore life to the party.
