Phil Vickery served up a seasonal apple and blackberry crumble cake on today’s episode of This Morning.
The ingredients for the apples: 15g butter, Juice and finely grated zest of one lemon, 100g golden caster sugar, 3 large Bramley apples, peeled, cored and cut into large chunks, 1-2 tsp arrowroot or cornflour and 100g blackberries.
For the crumble: 60g cold butter, 125g plain flour, ¼ tsp ground cinnamon, 80g golden caster sugar and 20g porridge oats.
For the pastry: 140g golden caster sugar, 140g unsalted butter, at room temperature, 1 medium egg, 200g plain flour and 1 tsp baking powder.
