John Whaite served up a linzer torte (jam tart) with custard on Chopping Block.
The ingredients for the pastry include: hazelnut, icing sugar, plane flour, cinnamon, 110g soft unsalted butter and egg yolks.
For the jam filling: 6 tbls raspberry jam.
For the custard: 250g single cream, 1 vanilla pod, 3 egg yolks and 65g caster.
