John Whaite served up a delicious sugar free Mississippi mud pie on today’s episode of Lorraine.
The ingredients are: 100g gluten-free oats, 80g hazelnuts, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 150g pitted medjool dates, 2 tbsp water and 20g unsalted butter.
For the Filling: 200g pitted medjool dates, 2 tbsp water, 1 large ripe avocado, halved, 200g double cream, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, ¼ tsp fine sea salt and 2 large eggs.
For the Topping: 200ml double cream, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 2 tsp balsamic vinegar and Cocoa nibs or 100% plain chocolate, chopped (optional).
