On today’s Nigel and Adam’s Farm Kitchen episode, Nigel made a very quick and simple bread and butter pudding that looked a real treat.
To make his pudding, Nigel slices up a loaf of bread and butter each slice. He then adds a jam of cherry jam to a pan then fill the jar with water and pure it all into the pan.
He gently stirs the mixture and heats the pan until the jam turns into syrup.
While the jam is heating, he lays the buttered bread slices into a baking tray, then pours the syrup over the jam and press the bread slices to ensure they are soaked in the syrup.
Nigel then sprinkles the dish with Demerara sugar and places it in the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
Once baked, he serves the pudding with softly whipped cream mixed with vanilla extract, and summer fruits.
