Simon and Dave served up tasty Middle-Eastern chicken shawarma with labneh, a Middle-Eastern soft cheese, on the Chicken and Egg series.
The Bikers says: “This is a quick and easy version of a traditionally slow cooked Middle-Eastern dish. Serve with couscous or in pitta breads.”
The ingredients for the labneh are: 500g thick Greek yoghurt and ½ tsp salt.
For the chicken: 8-12 chicken thigh fillets, skinned, 2 lemons, juice only, 50ml olive oil, 4 garlic cloves, crushed, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp sweet smoked paprika, ½ tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp cayenne or red chilli powder, 2 bay leaves, crushed and salt and freshly ground black pepper.
