Alan Carr hopes for big ratings for The Singer Takes It All Karaoke game show with conveyor belt and voting app

Alan Carr presents his first TV live show tonight on Channel 4 were singers compete on a conveyor belt to win a cash price.

The Singer Takes It All is meant to be a Karaoke style game show that takes a more light-hearted approach to a singing contest and in that way hopes to distinguish itself from The X Factor and The Voice.

Alan will be joined by celebrity guest who will give some advice to the contestants on this his first TV live show that he hopes will be a ratings success. The Chatty Man told Digitialspy:

“I’m having a celebrity on with me – someone in the music industry – to give advice and stuff, so I won’t be sitting by myself. The conveyor belt takes up the whole of the middle of the studio, and I’m sitting to the side. So if they do get to the Gold Zone – and the longer they’re in there, the more money they get – then I take them off at the end and I chat to them, and the celebrity gives advice. So it is fun, but if someone’s amazing then why shouldn’t they be celebrated?”
