The Addict Initiative from Leicester are on a mission to take commercial dance to a whole new level and from the minute we saw their first audition we felt they could have the same impact on commercial dance that diversity has on street dancing.
The group performs a fusion of theatrical and commercial dance with strong narratives throughout their routine. Many of the members are full time dancers, whilst others study dance or have normal jobs.
They enjoy choreographing unpredictable routines designed to shock the audience. Their audition was incredibly intense and energetic leaving the audience both in shock and awe.
Tonight they return to the Britain’s Got Talent stage to wow the judges and the British voting public in their bid to reach the live final with their Snow White dance routine.
These are the comments from the judges for their amazing performance:
David Walliams: We had so many dance acts audition this year and put through so few…you are fantastic and original. You did something we have never seen. I kind of want to see a full dance show.
Alesha Dixon: That was so powerful, the concept and the theme is fantastic. The acting that went on was brilliant. I think you guys deserve to be in the final.
Amanda Holden: It isn’t just a dance routine, it’s a mini piece of theatre. It is the dark side that connects with me and most kids and probably Simon.
Simon Cowell: We have seen some bad tonight, we have seen some good and now we’ve seen you, who I think are incredible. This is the best dance group on BGT since Diversity. You are so committed to what you do. I hope people pick up the phone.
