Steve Hewlett introduced Simon Cowell’s poppet on BGT semi finals and brought the house down

Steve Hewlett returned to Britain’s Got Talent tonight to compete for a place in the final and based on what we saw we would be very disappointed if he did not make it.

The Ventriloquist delivered a really funny routine with his poppet Arthur Large who we saw at his first audition, but it was when he introduced his new poppet of Simon Cowell that he brought the house down.

David Walliams revealed he had a  secret bet on the Ventriloquist’s performance : “Me and Simon had a bet about you, I reckon you’re going to be in the final. I think after tonight – Simon’s going to have to give me that pound!”

Alesha Dixon said: “I love the act, you’re naturally funny and the material is great.”

Amanda told him: “You’ve worked on your craft for years and years but what you’ve achieved is amazing. Well done.”
