Alex Keirl showed his range singing The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face at BGT 2013 fourth semi final

Alex Keirl return to the Britain’s Got Talent stage tonight and wowed with his rendition of The first Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack.

The 20 year old previously auditioned for both The X Factor and The Voice and was rejected by both shows during the audition process. How he hopes to find fame and fortune if he makes it to the BGT live final.

The judges were all impressed with his performance at the semi-finals but Simon said there was something missing:

Alesha Dixon said: “The control you have over your vocals is admirable… I knew you were good from the auditions but you were wonderful.”

Simon Cowell added: “I wasn’t expecting that. That’s a really difficult for a girl tossing but for a guy it’s really tough. The only thing I question is, are you a star?”

David Walliams said: “There’s so many great versions of that song but I think your version is now my favourite… I think there are so many people out there now who are not conventional stars but he has the voice of a star.”
