Singing teacher Modupe Obasola changed her style on BGT 2013 second semi finals

19 year old Moduple from London was one of the last acts to perform at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions and tonight she once again took to the Britain’s Got Talent stage to showcase her talent.

Working as a singing teacher , Modupe knows what it takes to hit the right notes in a performance as she showed in her first audition with a  version of Justin Bieber’s ‘Boyfriend’ that impressed the judges.

Tonight we felt she lost her way. The change of style from an acoustic artist to pop star did not work for us and it would seem it did not work for the judges either.

The judges said:

David Walliams: That was the biggest change we have seen between auditions and live shows. I liked it, I’m just trying to get used to it. I got a bit less of your personality than I did before but I applaud your bravery.

Alesha Dixon: Well done for giving it a go but for me, this isn’t you. I like Modupe with a guitar, stripped back and organic.

Amanda Holden: It was different but I actually thought it was brilliant. I liked the attitude, you kind of really owned it. Good job, well done.

Simon Cowell: I just didn’t get this at all. This was very generic and wannabeish and didn’t give you any individual personality and I think you’ve been given some bad advice.
