Britain Got Talent 2013 semi-finals have started and the winners of the first semi-final are The Johnson brothers and Arisxandra Libantino who have now booked their place in the live final.
On tonight’s first semi-final show, nine acts competed for the public votes. They included singers, dancers and variety acts but it was the singers who won the day.
Richard and Adam were revealed as the act that secured the most public votes and therefore went automatically through to the final.
The next two most popular acts – Arisxandra and Youth Creation – had to compete for the judges vote.
David Walliams opted to back Arisxandra, while Alesha Dixon voted in to keep Youth Creation in the competition.
Amanda Holden ultimately also voted for Arisxandra, leaving Simon Cowell with the deciding vote. The music mogul said he could not decide between the two acts so he opted for the young dance troupe to take the decision to the public vote under deadlock.
Ant and Dec then revealed that Arisxandra received more public votes than Youth Creation and they therefore joined Richard and Adam in the final on June 8th.
