Best friends Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy from London, impressed on the finals of Britain’s Got Talent finishing runner-up to Spellbound who took the title, the £100,000 prise and the opportunity to perform in front of the queen at the Royal variety Performance.
The dance comedy duo once again entertained the audience with their funny dance routine, that they nicknamed ‘Streetomedy’.
The college boys ’streetomedy’ routine on the night was definitely their funniest yet and they were much more in sync than their previous performances.
Judges Comments
Piers Morgan: “Sometimes people say it’s a disadvantage to go first in a final because people won’t remember. I think in this case it’s been a massive advantage to you two because you have set the bar tonight for the others to follow. On that performance, there are a lot of contestants round the back saying, ‘How are we going to beat that?’ Really good.”
Amanda Holden: “I was really worried that I’d seen everything you can do, but tonight you’ve shown me that there’s more and more and more. You’ve still got that brilliant originality. I love you. You’re on the money every time. You have a real shot, I honestly believe it.”
Simon Cowell: “How many times have we seen this routine? This is the third time, and I was concerned that I was going to get bored of it. For me, this was the best routine we’ve seen of you so far. What’s really important about you two is that you’re terribly current. Young kids are totally going to relate to you. I can see you making a fortune in commercials, videos. I’m really impressed with you guys tonight, well done.”
Although they missed out on the top prise, I have no doubt Britain will see a lot more of these two boys. Their act is refreshing, like a breath of fresh air. Let’s hope they can follow in the footsteps of last years winners Diversity and emulate their success.
you guys are brilliant
