Ventriloquist Steve Hewlett who entertained millions on Britain’s Got Talent with his poppet Arthur Larger, reveals his act is a bit old school but insisted that a ventriloquist could win this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent.
The 38 year old revealed on the ITV This Morning program that he thinks the old style entertainment act is ‘coming back’ in popularity. He confirmed that he has been working hard to make his act appealing to modern TV viewers. He explained:
‘You have to be innovative as a ventriloquist, bring it up to date. You have to make the children, the mums and dads and the grans and granddads love you and bring it to life with something brand new.’
He continued:
‘I do holiday parks, theatres, cruise ships and the audiences out there love ventriloquists these days. It’s coming back.’
