18 year-old Jordan O’Keefe impressed the judges with his rendition of the One Direction song “Little Things” at his Britain’s Got Talent audition.
Before his performance, the student from Northern Ireland said:
“I went to college to do music and my dad changed the course to business on me but I am here to do music. I was raging.”
When presenters Ant and Dec asked if he had fought with his dad about the college issues, he admitted:
“Oh massively. I really, really love my dad but he wants me to have a backup plan. It’s understandable but I am here today to prove him wrong.”
“I am taking part in Britain’s Got Talent because I want to do something with my life, I want to become a singer.”
He continued:
“I have been singing and playing guitar for three or four years in restaurants and bars. I would love to go back to my dad and say ‘I got four yeses.’”
Jordan went on to wow the judges with his performance. Simon Cowell called it ‘very clever’ and inventive.
He praised O’Keefe as a ‘great performer’ and added:
“I predict very, very good things for you going forward. I like you.”
All four judges went on to voted to send Jordan through to the next round giving him the four yeses he wanted.
