Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli are without doubt two of the best singers ever to appear on Britain’s Got Talent and this evening singing live they showed why they deserve a place in the live final.
The pair are one of the bookies’ favourites to win the series this year, after they wowed at their audition recently where Jonathan was dubbed the new Susan Boyle. Simon Cowell tried to convince the teenager to dump his vocal partner, however he refused and insisted on continuing as a duo. This evening the pair performed the classical track ‘Caruso.’ This is what the judges made of their performance:
ALESHA DIXON: There was a lot of pressure on Charlotte tonight and you held your own. You started so beautifully, this is a special friendship and a special chemistry. It was incredible.
AMANDA HOLDEN: I didn’t see you the 1st time round and in real life you literally blew me back to my seat the pair of you. You work beautifully together.
SIMON COWELL: There is a lot at stake here and I thought Charlotte was holding you back and I have to tell you, staying with Charlotte was the best decision you ever made. I understand your chemistry, Charlotte you sang really well tonight, The combination of the two….one of my favourite ever Britain’s Got Talent performances.
DAVID WALLIAMS: Well done for proving Simon wrong, I had no clue what you were singing about but I wanted to cry. You could be winners on Saturday night.
