Ashleigh & Pudsey and Only Boys Aloud were the two acts that made it through to the Britain’s Got Talent 2012 live final after the votes were cast in the first semi-final ealier tonight.
Ashleigh and Pudsey received the most votes and therefore are automatically sent through to the live final.
The Mend and Only Boys Aloud were the next two most popular acts with the public, and it was up to the judges to decide which act would go through to the live final.
David Walliams said: “This is so hard, but I think the act that’s got the most potential, that’s doing something we haven’t seen on this show, is Only Boys Aloud.”
Alesha Dixon said: “I would like to see The Mend [in the final].”
Amanda Holden said: “The act that I’m going to put through to Saturday’s final is Only Boys Aloud.”
Simon Cowell said: “I like both acts, I think on this occasion I want to find out what the public did so I’m going to go for The Mend.”
With the judges’ votes tied, the results of the earlier public vote decided who went through.
With more votes, Only Boys Aloud joined Ashleigh and Pudsey in the final.
