The Mend tried out for Britain’s Got Talent this year after the pop group failed to progress on last year’s X Factor when it was discovered they were already being managed by Take That agent Nigel Martin-Smith.
However, BGT allows auditioning acts to have managers, the boys therefore decided to take their chance on the BGT stage to wow the judges with their rendition of Otis Redding’s classic (Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay.
Before their performance the boys admitting they had had their problems and told the judges: ‘We all just stick together, we jam. We’re all on the same level and when we’re all vibing it’s just like, next level, serious.’
One member, Dean, said: ‘People, like where I’m from anyway, everyone’s in debt like, up to their eyeballs in debt and people sweep to crime, it’s not what they want to do.’
