Cheryl Cole is reportedly being lined up to replace Michael McIntyre on Britain’s Got Talent, after the comic announced he was quitting the show this week.
Cole, who was axed from The X Factor USA was rumoured to be making a comeback on the British version during the live shows. However, that was denied by X Factor bosses recently.
With the departure of McIntyre, the programme currently has no judges, with David Hasselhoff having been fired and Amanda Holden set to give birth when auditions are meant to be filmed.
The Daily Mirror reports today that Cheryl Cole could be the show’s saviour, having originally been lined up as a judge on the first series before joining The X Factor in 2008.
A source said: “Simon has made no secret of his interest in bringing Cheryl back.
“Now Michael’s seat has become available on the panel, this could be the vehicle for her TV comeback.”
