Britain’s Got Talent 2011 runner up Ronan Parke has signed a record deal with Sony Records, it has been confirmed. The 12-year-old will release an album with the international label, which owns Simon Cowell’s Syco label.
Ronan Parke’s deal will see him work with both Syco and Simon Cowell as well as Sony’s top music producers on a record.
A source told The Sun today: “Simon is increasingly busy in the US so it makes sense for another of Sony’s labels to work on the Ronan Parke project too.
“It’s still to be decided exactly which imprint will partner with SyCo but bosses are sure he’ll be a success.”
The insider added: “So far there is no sign of BGT winner Jai McDowall getting a contract.”
A statement from SyCo last night confirmed: “The deal allows Ronan to have Syco’s involvement while signing with the Sony team that most suits his musical direction.
