The MailOnline reports that police have abandoned plans to launch an investigation into an online blog that claimed Britain’s Got Talent was fixed in favour of Ronan Parke.
The internet was awash with rumours last week when an anonymous blogger posted content on a website alleging the show had been rigged for 12-year-old singer Ronan Parke to win.
Show bosses immediately denied the allegations and warned they would take legal action to ‘prevent further publication of these unfounded allegations’, which included claims that Ronan had met Simon Cowell two years ago and already had a management deal with his company, SyCo.
It is now believed that the police has dropped the investigation amid speculation it was a publicity stunt to boost ratings.
No one can be completely sure what impact the allegation had on Ronan chances of winning Britain’s Got Talent, but the school boy finished in second place and no doubt will go on to have a successful music career.
