Dancer Razy Gogonea and Singer Michael Collings became the last two contestants to join tomorrows Britain’s Got Talent live final line up after finishing as the top two acts in tonight’s fifth semi final.
The acts on tonight’s show were much improved over last nights nightmare performances and that seem to have made Simon Cowell very happy.
Finishing in the top three along with Razy and Michael was Pip & Puppy – a dog act that finally worked this series. Razy secured the public vote and therefore automatically went through to the final, leaving the judges to decide between Michael Collings and Pip & Puppy.
Simon Cowell was asked for is decision first by Ant and Dec and he caused a bit of consternation when he said he’d like to see both Pip & Puppy and Michael Collings go through. This left us thinking for a moment that he was about to change the rules of the show.
However, upon being pressed by Ant & Dec, Simon voted for Michael Collings. Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre quickly agreed, giving Collings the majority vote. When asked who he’d vote for, David Hasselhoff agreed that he’d have chosen Collings.
On hearing the result an elated Michael said: “I feel absolutely amazing. I just couldn’t see myself into the final. I was happy enough just to be performing here tonight, but to be through to the finals is just unbelievable.”
