11-year-old James Hobley impressed the judges at his Britain’s Got Talent audition with an all inspiring performance.
Four years ago, James Hobley who suffers from autism could hardly walk. But on Britain’s Got Talent, he brought the audience to their feet with his incredible dance routine.
His performance made host Ant McPartlin cry and he also earned a standing ovation from judge David Hasselhoff. James, who has won a scholarship to do a ballet course at Hammond School in Chester, admitted that he could barely walk until mum Sheila decided to take him to a dance school.
He said: “Before I started dancing, I had orthopaedic boots and splints up my back and my legs because I used to walk on my tiptoes a lot.
“But when I started dancing, my tendons just got looser and looser until I never had to wear them any more.
“I love dancing. It’s the feeling of when I dance, I feel free, like I can do anything.”
James takes to the stage and when asked by judge Michael McIntyre if he’s at school, he replies: “My mum’s homeschooling me because I’m autistic.”
James tells the judges he’s been dancing for about three-and-a-half years and Michael asks him if he loves dancing. James says: “Yes, it’s my life.” David: with obsessed Chloe’s stage for a David Chloe’s Michael of “He jokes room As James starts his performance, his mum begins to cry. Presenter Ant admits: “I’m going as well here.”
