For the first time on Britain’s Got Talent, the judges auditioned hopeful contestants using videos entered on YouTube. The ones that caught the judges eye were invited to Birmingham to perform in front of the judges and tonight the fist act to be televised from this process was Pippa Langhorne and her singing dog Buddy.
Pipa stunned the audience and the judges with her singing voice and the musical abilities of her cute dog Buddy. Before performing for Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre, barmaid Pippa said:
“I’ve had Buddy for five months now, we do everything together and everywhere we go, people just adore him. I work in a pub in Bromsgrove, on the bar but I really enjoy singing, I’ve done a few weddings, parties, and this is something I really want to do.”
Admitting that she never intended to sign with a dog she added:
“Ideally, my career was solo, but Buddy’s talent can’t go unmissed. As soon as I found out that Britain’s Got Talent were auditioning through YouTube we couldn’t wait to record the video and send it off, so that’s why we’re here today. Buddy is so special and unique, it has to be noticed.”
She then belted out in an amazing operatic voice, Pie Jesu and her lovely little Buddy joined in. The audience gave them a standing ovation and Amanda Holden looked like she was about to cry.
