Josh Barry, a 16-year-old college student from London wowed judges, Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, with a rendition of My Girl by The Temptations on Birtain’s Got Talent.
Piers Morgan said to Josh: “You’ve got the looks, you’ve got the charm, you’ve got the stage presence, you’ve got the girls going crazy. I think that was a brilliant performance.”
Amanda Holden said: “You were confident, you were a showman and you delivered. I think you’ve got the potential to be a great popstar.”
Simon Cowell said: “if I met you in normal circumstances, I would advise him to join a band. You have charisma, good looks and people like you”.
Josh revealed that taking part in the Britain’s Got Talent auditions was the biggest thing that had happened to him.
The teenager also admitted that he used to be embarrassed about his singing and kept it under wraps as much as possible whilst at school.
He told The Daily Star:
“When I was younger I didn’t really tell many friends that I sang and danced. I wasn’t ashamed of it but I guess I was a bit self-conscious. My mates used to think it was a bit weird. “They used to take the mick quite a lot. But my older brother always used to tell me they would be the envious ones when we got older, which helped.” |
