Simon Cowell may have stepped down from the Britain’s Got Talent audition panel this year, but he still calls the shots on the ITV show.
The Daily Star claims that Cowell is unhappy with the level of talent chosen by the new judging panel, consisting of Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre.
The panel have already selected their favourite contestants for the live semi-final stage of the competition, which Simon is also expected to judge.
However, the 51-year-old, who will return to the panel for the live finals, has allegedly planned to shake things up by allowing more acts to audition via YouTube.
“Cowell’s announcement is going to turn the show on its head,” a source told the paper. “Simon thinks this will be an exciting new dimension for the show for the younger generation.”
Other insiders have insisted that the music mogul is “perfectly happy” with the acts which have been put through by the judges.
