Best friends Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy impressed the Britain’s Got Talent judges and audience alike with their funny dance routine, which they nicknamed ‘Streetomedy’.
The 19-year-olds performed a high-energy routine to a backing track which contained hip-hop, the Cheeky Girls and the EastEnders theme before being greeted by a standing ovation.
Twist and Pulse has revealed that they are both trained ballet dancers and incorporates innovative street-dancing moves into their training sessions.
Ashley and Glen told the Daily Star that they used to perform on the same dance circuit as former BGT contestants Diversity and Flawless. They said:
“We are good friends with Diversity and with Flawless, who got to the final too. We know them from the London dance scene and it helps to know people who have already done what you’re doing.”
“We spoke to them after our audition and it’s good to know they are there to help if we get to the semi-finals.”
Piers Morgan told the duo: ‘you have one of the most exciting, original routines we’ve seen.’ While Amanda Holden said: ‘I think you just showed us a glimpse of the future. |
