Chippendoubles

Chippendoubles is a dance act consisting of 7 members that delivered a unique brand of dance comedy that left the Britain’s Got Talent judges and viewers in stitches last night after performing their brilliant routine. The dance troupe reduced Amanda to tears of laughter as they danced while impersonating the likes of Ricky Gervais, Gordon Ramsey and even Simon Cowell.

“We are a unique dance act and we all love to entertain,” the group told Ant and Dec. “The judges have never seen anything like this before, what we have will blow them away.”

As the group walked out on stage Simon first thought they were strippers, but it became apparent quite soon that he was far from the truth. Sadness by Enigma started up before the disco music kicked in, followed by Ricky Gervais dancing! James Bond, David Beckham, Gordon Ramsey and Will Smith soon followed with a finale from none other than Simon Cowell in his union jack boxer shorts.

The audience went wild with laughter. Amanda said: “It was just very funny, very surprising, some of you are spot on”.

Piers added: “For surprise value, for entertainment value, that was genius.”

Simon concluded: “This was, in a way, one of my favourite acts.”

The group made it through to the next round, but it remains to be seen if the can improve on such a brilliant audition performance.
