Jessie J looks set to be dropped from the second series of the Voice UK Talent show according to reports.
Producers were reportedly left annoyed after Jessie criticised the staging of the show on Saturday night, and suggested it’d be better if the live performances just saw the contestants stand and sing.
“Many of the show’s most senior staff are angry that Jessie criticised the show’s production values so publicly,” a supposed source said today. “She is paid a huge amount of money to be a big part of the show, and should be one of the show’s most vocal supporters.”
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the insider continued: “It has had a huge impact on what many of the show’s staff think about her.
“Obviously the dip in viewers means producers need to speak frankly with all members of the team, but with Jessie there’s not really any point. You can’t tell her anything.”
Another source claimed that despite producers rants, the coaches were “a law unto themselves”. It follows Will.i.am also getting reprimanded by bosses, after once again spending time tweeting on his phone during the show.
“With Jessie in particular, the staff are becoming frustrated that she is so unapproachable,” the source told the newspaper. “She turns up with a legion of minders, assistants and hangers on and is sometimes late too. It’s like an audience with the Queen – although Her Majesty’s timekeeping is probably better.” |
