Nigella Lawson served up Asian flavoured short ribs beef stew with rice wine and hoisin on Simply Nigella.
The ingredients are: 2.5kg beef short ribs, cut into 4-5cm squares, 250ml hoisin sauce, from a jar, 500ml water, 4 x 15ml tablespoons soy sauce, 125ml Chinese (Shaoxing) rice wine, 2 x 15ml tablespoons Chinese 5-spice powder, 1 x 15ml tablespoon dried chilli flakes, 1 x 15ml tablespoon toasted, sesame oil and 4 fat cloves garlic, peeled and finely grated or minced.
To serve: 1 fresh red chilli, finely chopped, 2-3 x 15ml tablespoons chopped fresh coriander and 3-4 limes, cut into wedges.
