Ainsley Harriott discovered Syrian ice cream on Ainsley Harriott’s Street food in Jordan.

The ice cream is made by a family who had to flee Damascus as a result of the on going war in Syria.

The ice cream is made with creamy milk, heavy cream, mastic gum (also called gum arabic), sugar, sahlab, rose water and chopped pistachios and pomegranate or chocolate topping for serving.
