X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson returned to her hometown of Liverpool for a special show yesterday that may see highlights of on The X Factor this weekend.
Ferguson and her mentor Cheryl Cole were mobbed by fans when they appeared at the Echo Arena for a short show, which included performances of ‘Feeling Good’, ‘Amazing Grace’ and ‘Show Me Love’.
Wearing a beige dress with a chic black coat to keep her warm, Rebecca looked overwhelmed by the amount of support she received from her fans, who had made signs and banners for the occasion.
Cole and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool appeared on stage to praise the 24-year-old singer and urged her fans to keep voting for her this weekend.
Ferguson also returned to her former school Gateacre Comprehensive, where she sang for Year Seven pupils. Headteacher Gerard Lonergan told the Liverpool Echo: “Rebecca Ferguson was absolutely lovely. She made a real connection with the children.”
