The first episode of The Box with James Martin, kicked of today with recipes created by home cooks Kimberley, Ellie and Joe.
The three cooks impressed actress Helen George from Call The Midwife, who supplied the first set of ingredients in a box consisting of pheasant, kale, bone marrow, rhubarb, pink wafers, rosemary, potatoes, toffee popcorn and champagne.
From the ingredients Kimberley served up a short crust pastry with poached rhubarb and custard dessert. Joe cooked pheasant with kale and salsa, while Ellie created rhubarb crumble tartlet served with custard.
A second box of different ingredients was supplied by host James Martin and from these ingredients, Kimberley served up tuna fish cakes, Joe made chocolate sponge surprise and Ellie served up a stuffed pork loin dish.
