John Whaite served up a delicious Banoffee trifle dessert on Lorraine.
The ingredients are: 9 ripe bananas, 900g shop bought madeira cake, 2tbsp dark rum, 200g dark muscovado sugar, 200g unsalted butter and 200g whipping cream.
For the topping: 600ml whipping cream, 3 tbsp icing sugar, 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste, 25g vanilla fudge, 2 squares of dark chocolate and Gold sprinkles (optional).
