Mary Berry shows how to make a delicious Neapolitan baked Alaska dessert on The Great British Bake Off Masterclass.
This rich vanilla infused ice cream with a gooey meringue topping and jam covered base, proved testing for the contestants on this years Great British Bake Off show, but now Mary shows how it should be done in her masterclass with Paul Hollywood.
The ingredients for the vanilla ice cream are: 300ml pouring double cream, 300ml milk, 100g caster sugar, 1 vanilla pod, (soft and fresh) and 3 egg yolks.
For the meringue: 3 egg whites, 175g caster sugar, 20cm disc fatless sponge, Cherry jam and Flan case, trimmed edges.
