As everyone knows, snail dishes are very popular in France but in Britain it is very much a acquired taste.
However, on today’s episode on A Taste of Britain, Brian and Janet Street-Porter goes on a tour of the beautiful county of Kent where they visit the ancient town of Faversham before stopping off at the UK’s only snail farm.
The visit inspired Brian to cook his snail fritata dish using local ingredients.
