Chetna Great British Bake Off hope of winning with traditional Indian recipes could be a bake off first

Indian baker Chetna has come to the Great British Bake Off with the hope of winning the competition with traditional Indian recipes taught by her mum and combining the recipes with flavours from British bakes to impress the Bake Off judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry.

The 35-year-old fashion designer used baking as a way to embrace British culture when she first moved to Kent from India ten years ago. Chetna said it was quite the culture shock, coming from the densely populated Mumbai.

Chetna considers herself to be a creative yet meticulous baker and channels huge creativity into her baking, as well as painting beautiful murals on her children’s bedroom walls. She loves to bake celebration cakes for family and friends.
