Michela Chippa meatballs with Parmesan cheese mash potatoes and tomato sauce recipe on This Morning

Michela Chippa served up tasty mama’s meatballs with cheesy Parmesan mash potatoes and tomato sauce on This Morning.

The ingredients for the sauce are: Handful basil leaves, chopped and reserve a few for garnish, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 onion peeled and finely chopped, 1 garlic clove crushed, 1 x 400g tin or chopped tomatoes, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 tablespoon tomato puree, Pinch cayenne pepper and 1 stock cube of choice.

For The Meatballs: 500g Italian sausage meat (or any minced meat you prefer), 100g freshly grated Parmesan cheese, 1 clove garlic peeled and grated, 1 small onion grated, 100g breadcrumbs (fine very dry breadcrumbs), 1 medium egg, 1/2 teaspoon ground fennel seeds, A small handful of chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon fine salt, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper and 1 tablespoon olive oil.

For Mash potatoes: 4 medium/large potatoes (approx 1.5kg), 100g grated Parmesan, 50g butter, 30ml olive oil and Salt and pepper for seasoning.
