Sophie Dahl makes a delicious toffee apple and pear crumble recipe on the A to Z of cooking.

The ingredients for the crumble are: 4 large cox apples, peeled and cut into chunks, 4 pear, peeled and quartered, 125 grams unsalted butter, 125 grams dark brown sugar, zest and juice of 1 orange Custard, cream or vanilla ice-cream to serve.

For the topping: 100 grams spelt flour, 100 grams organic oats, 100 grams butter – cold and cut into chunks and 100 grams demerera sugar.
