Rick Stein served up tasty Cornish steak pasties with potatoes, swede and onions on Rick Stein’s Cornwall.

The ingredients for the pastry are: 500g plain flour, plus extra for dusting, 2 tsp salt and 500g cold butter, cut into 2cm cubes.

For the filling: 150g swede, peeled and sliced into 1cm thick chips, 250g floury potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1cm thick chips, 100g onion, chopped, 400g skirt steak, cut into 1cm pieces, 1 free-range egg, beaten, to glaze, salt and freshly ground black pepper.
