Lisa Faulkner and John Torode Chocolate and Almond Tart with Amaretti Biscuits recipe on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen

Lisa Faulkner and John Torode served up a deliicous chocolate and almond tart with Amaretti biscuits on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.

The ingredients pastry are: 200g plain flour, 50g ground almonds, 120g cold butter, diced, 1 egg, separated, A good pinch of salt and 1 tsp water.

For the filling: 250g plain chocolate, 250ml double cream, 2 eggs, separated, 80g golden caster sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tbsp Amaretto (optional).

Handful crushed amaretti biscuits, plus extra to serve.

Serving suggestions: 350ml crème fraîche, frozen in quenelles and Dessert wine.
