Emma’s Imagination Got The Big Prize on Must Be The Music

Emma Gillespie better know as Emma’s Imagination won the first series of  Sky TV’s talent show Must Be The Music.

The 27-year-old Singer/Songwriter took home the £100,000 prize fund after impressing judges Dizzee Rascal, Sharleen Spiteri, Jamie Cullum, studio audience and viewers at home with her performances.

Emma made it into the top three acts in the finals, alongside Missing Andy and The Pictures. Following her last performance on the night at Wembley Arena, all three judges picked her as their favourite performer of the evening.

Not only did Emma win the lucrative price fund on the night, just a few minutes after the show ended, her track ‘This Day’ went to number 1 in the Alternative charts and number 11 in the UK singles charts.

Emma said: “Thank you so much for all the support, I couldn’t have done it without you – I just can’t get my head around it”.

Dizzee Rascal told her: “That was beautiful and I think you’re a star already.”

Jamie Cullum said: “You are the most complete artist we have here at the moment – a winner!”

And Sharleen Spitteri said: “God I love you and your experience really showed the amount of time you have spent practising”
