Gary Usher showcased his tasty finger lickin’ chicken coated in smashed nuts served with a smoky bacon one pot wonder containing gammon, beans and fresh vegetables on How to Save a Grand in 24 Hours.

The dish comes in at just £1 a portion.

The ingredients for the chicken rub are: lemon juice, salt and paprika.

For the coating: flour, beaten eggs, smashed dry roasted nuts

For the gammon, beans and veg : onion, celery stems, oil, salt, garlic, carrots, 2 tbsp smoked paprika, squeeze of tomato puree, 150ml pasatta , 94g gammon, black treacle , 25g haricot beans, 12g butter beans and gastric jus.

For the gastric jus: 1 tsp vinegar, 1tsp sugar, 1tbsp treacle
