the ingredients are: 1 small onion, peeled and finely diced, 1 clove garlic, peeled and grated, or very finely chopped, 2cm piece of ginger, peeled and grated, or very finely chopped, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp garam masala, 200g red, yellow or orange lentils, rinsed, 1 vegetable stock cube, dissolved into 1l boiling water, 500g passata, 160ml tin coconut cream, olive oil, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
