John Whaite Bakewell slices recipe on Steph’s Packed Lunch

John Whaite served up delicious Bakewell slices with shortbread and cherries on today’s episode of Steph’s Packed Lunch.

The ingredients for the shortbread are: 60g caster sugar, 100g unsalted butter, softened, 150g plain flour.

For the jam: 200g cherry jam.

For the almond cream: 120g unsalted butter, soften, 120g caster sugar, 160g ground almonds, 1 few drops almond extract and 2 large eggs
