Nadiya Hussain served up delicious fruity hot cross buns with cranberries, blueberries and a strawberry jam filling on Nadiya Bakes.
The ingredients for the dough are: 300ml full-fat milk, 50g unsalted butter, 500g strong bread flour, plus extra for dusting, 75g caster sugar, 1 tsp salt, 7g fast-action dried yeast, 1 free-range egg, lightly beaten, oil, for greasing, 75g dried cranberries, roughly chopped, 50g dried blueberries, roughly chopped and 1 orange, zest only.
For the berry crosses: 9g freeze-dried strawberries or raspberries and 75g plain flour, sifted.
For the filling and glaze: 300g seedless berry jam (strawberry, raspberry or any berry jam) and 3 tbsp golden syrup, warmed.
